Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview
This policy outlines the refund and cancellation terms for services offered by Shree Suvarna Temple through Suvarna Memorial Trust. By making a donation, booking a puja, or ordering prasad delivery, you agree to the terms outlined below.
2. Donation Refund Policy
- Donations made to Suvarna Memorial Trust are generally considered voluntary and non-refundable
- In case of accidental duplicate payment or incorrect amount charged, a refund will be processed upon verification
- Refund requests for donations must be submitted within 7 days of the transaction
- 80G tax receipts already issued may need to be cancelled if a refund is processed

3. Puja Booking Cancellation
Cancellation terms for puja bookings:
- 48 hours or more before scheduled puja: Full refund (100%) of the booking amount
- 24–48 hours before scheduled puja: 50% refund of the booking amount
- Less than 24 hours before scheduled puja: No refund applicable
- No-show: No refund for failure to attend without prior cancellation
- If the temple cancels a puja due to unforeseen circumstances (weather, emergency, etc.), a full refund or rescheduling option will be provided
4. Prasad Delivery Refund
Refunds for prasad delivery orders may be processed in the following cases:
- Order not delivered within 15 business days of dispatch
- Prasad received in damaged or spoiled condition (photo evidence required within 24 hours of delivery)
- Wrong prasad item delivered
- Non-delivery due to incorrect address provided by the temple (our error)
Refunds will NOT be processed for:
- Change of mind after order placement
- Delay due to incorrect address provided by the customer
- Delay due to force majeure (natural disasters, strikes, etc.)
- Orders where delivery was attempted but recipient was unavailable
5. Refund Processing
- Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days
- Refunds will be credited to the original payment method used for the transaction
- Bank processing times may vary; please allow an additional 5–7 business days for the amount to reflect in your account
- For UPI transactions, refunds are typically faster (3–5 business days)
- Refund confirmation will be sent to your registered email address
6. How to Request a Refund
To initiate a refund request:
- Email us at info@suvarnatrust.in with subject “Refund Request”
- Include your name, transaction ID/order number, date of transaction, amount, and reason for refund
- For prasad delivery issues, attach relevant photos as evidence
- Our team will review your request and respond within 3 business days
- If approved, the refund will be initiated as per the processing timeline above

7. Exceptions
Suvarna Memorial Trust reserves the right to make exceptions to this policy on a case-by-case basis, particularly for:
- First-time devotees
- Genuine hardship cases
- Technical or payment gateway errors
- Festival season bookings (special terms may apply)
